Manufacturing has played a significant role in the local economy for over 80 years when the predecessor of American Woodmark began creating quality wood products in 1921. Green Applications LLC, a Division of Green Distribution, is establishing its first Virginia operation in Gordonsville, VA in 2014. The expansion from its NJ headquarters involves an investment of $9.75 million and anticipates the creation of 323 new jobs over the next few years. Green Applications will be refurbishing the former American Press building in the Town of Gordonsville to set up its screen printing operations.
