Existing Business Retention & Expansion (BRE)
Orange County has recognized that most business growth comes from its existing business community. To support the growth and success of existing business, Orange County Economic Development has developed a visitation program, where a face-to-face meeting is scheduled, and local government and business executives can sit down and discuss important issues. The main goal of the program is make sure that existing businesses are aware of the many programs and resources available that may assist in overall business climate and growth.
Here are a few ways that Orange County can assist from a local level:
- Serve as an advocate within the County and assist with necessary regulatory requirements;
- Assist with scheduling for the Applicant Review Committee (ARC) meeting;
- Provide a single point of contact for business services;
- Help identifying appropriate contacts for local government department.
To schedule an onsite visit or discuss available resources, please contact the Office of Economic Development at (540) 672-1238, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Business First - Orange
Studies show that the majority of new business growth and investment comes for your existing business community. Orange County understands the importance of its existing businesses and values the relationships that have been established over the years. As part of continuing those business relationships, Orange County has developed a structured existing business program called Business First - Orange.
Business First - Orange is also part of a regional and statewide program that is focused on preventing and alleviating business challenges that impede growth and profitability. From a local standpoint, the Orange County Economic Development Office, along with volunteers from the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, schedule one-on-one meetings with local companies to learn more about the company and any issues that the company may be facing. The visit not only affords the opportunity to build relationships but it also allows for valuable resources and materials to be shared with the company.
If your company is interested in scheduling a one-on-one meeting with the Orange County Economic Development Office, please contact us via email@example.com or (540) 672-1238.
